Logan Rayment is a Canadian artist telling stories about industrialism, militarism, and family/community within the contexts of memory, time, and the post-colonial landscape. His upbringing in one of the worldwide “Steel Cities” informs his practice of utilizing photography, archives, and field recording to explore the intersections between industry, land, and the people who call it home.
Currently, Logan is an MFA Candidate at NSCAD University, where he was awarded the Roloff Beny Photography Scholarship. He completed his BFA at Toronto Metropolitan University, where his thesis "The Veteran's Archive" was awarded the IMC Student Gallery Production Award in memory of George Fleischmann, as well as the Image Arts Special Collection Award. In 2023, he received the Jack Gilbert Image Arts Award.
Logan is currently based in Toronto and Sault Ste Marie, ON.
